What We Do

Italian Nucs Available $100

Our 5-frame nucs will be available May 1, 2012 near Spanish Fork, Utah. These nucs have been prepared with Wooten's Golden Italian queens and are gentle, hardy bees. 5-frame nucs come with 5 frames of eggs, brood, bees, etc, plus one queen.

The advantage of buying a nuc is that you can see just how strong your queen is by observing the work she has done.

The process for picking up a pre-ordered nuc is that you meet us in the early morning or later evening (so the bees are home in the nuc!) and we give you 5 frames of bees. You'll need a deep box, a cover, a bottom board, plus a feeder and 4 frames for your trip home.  Bees are available soon, so order now to ensure availability.

We have beginning beekeeping equipment and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. You can order nucs directly online for $100 each.

Hobby Beekeepers:

Our favorite part of the business is helping hobby beekeepers. We sell 3lb bee packages and all the other necessary equipment to successfully begin beekeeping. We look forward to the free classes in the Spring where other beekeepers show up and share opinions and new beekeepers come full of questions. This is our favorite part of the business.

Pollination Services:

We truck our hives to California where our bees pollinate almond trees in the months of February and March. We then receive those hives back to pollinate orchards and raspberries in Utah. Our honey is produced in Utah “The Beehive State”.

Honey:

It is fun to get calls from all over the Beehive State with people stating “this is the best honey I’ve ever tasted.” Sadly many people have not tasted raw honey in their lives. We do nothing special with our honey. It is pure and that’s it. We offer Tamarack Honey from the nectar gathered by lots of tamarack trees (our taste test favorite!); raspberry honey from our bees that pollinate Cornaby’s raspberry farm (You’ve probably seen Cornaby’s plump raspberries and jams in retail stores); and also classic clover honey gathered from mostly clover and alfalfa from the fields of Utah Valley.

We look forward to getting some bees up in the mountains to produce wildflower honey (pending purchasing equipment to protect the hives from bears) and also a City Honey that will appeal to our large customer base who buy raw, local honey to relieve allergies.
